Canoeing trips
One-day canoeing trips
We invite you for day canoeing trips along the most beautiful sections of the Krutynia river. Canoeing companies co-operating with us offer: canoes and persons transportation and car parking spaces. We recommend this offer especially for families with children who spend their holidays at the Mazurian Lake District.

The KRUTYNIA river
The Krutynskie Lake - Ukta
Route 15 km long. Canoeing time 3-4 hours.
Most often visited section of the Krutynia river. "Marvelous river of everlasting beauty" - so described the river Eugeniusz Paukszta. Without doubt it is the most beautiful place on the route. During the trip there is one canoe carrying break at Krutyński Piecek, near the water mill, which can be visited. On the route we pass the village of Rosocha (we recommend tasteful potato pancakes, sold at the bar close to the river), Wojnowo (entering the Dus Lake it is possible to visit the Starowiercow Convent). The route is quiet, scenic, rich in flora and fauna - we can meet kingfishers, minks and beavers. After reaching Ukta you return with a minibus.
Price: 30 zlotys per person

Ukta - Iznota
Route about 15 km long. Canoeing time about 3-4 hours.
This section crosses natural reserve "M. Wankowicz Krutyunia Dolna", protecting the river with adjoining forest, peat bogs and meadows. Not heavily attended by tourists but you can meet here rare species of birds of prey: white eagles, ospreys, eaglets and eagle owls. The natural reserve covers the area of the Gardynskie Lake which we cross with the canoe. Then we enter the wild forest Malinowko Lake and the last rather winding Jerzewko Lake. Near the village of Iznota the Krutynia river changes its name to the Czarna Rzeka - Iznota. We finish the trip at a small bridge.

The NIDKA river
Description of the route (Polish language only)
Suggested route: Guzianka - jezioro Nidzkie - Wygryny - jezioro Beldany - Guzianka
Route about 25 km long. Canoeing time about 4- 5 hours
Price: 20 zlotys per person
